Genus Apowollastonia Family Asteraceae

Description: Small woody subshrubs or perennial herbs with a small woody cuadex and annual stems, dry, harshly scabrous plants.

Ray florets yellow, pistilate and fertile, the disc florets 5-lobed bisexual and fertile.

Achenes vary in length form 2–6 mm long, variously cylindrical to cuneate or winged, shortly hairy only apically, or glabrous.


Distribution and occurrence:

Dry habitats.
