Description: Perennial or annual herbs; stems short, white-tomentose, with longer glandular hairs.
Leaves forming a rosette, toothed to deeply pinnatisect, flat.
Heads broad-campanulate, solitary, terminal, pedunculate; involucral bracts 2- or 3-seriate, herbaceous with scarious margins; receptacle slightly convex with small scales, pitted. Ray florets in 1 row, female, fertile, ligulate; disc florets bisexual, fertile, corolla narrowly campanulate and glandular pubescent; all florets yellow. Anthers sagittate at base, apical appendage ovate. Style branches ovate and glabrous in ray florets; ± fused, obtuse in disc florets.
Achenes asymmetrically obovoid, ridged on one side, glabrous; pappus absent.
Distribution and occurrence: 3 species, endemic to Australia. Occurs in all States except Northern Territory.
