Genus Eustrephus Family Asparagaceae

Description: Vines with tuberous roots.

Leaves with several equally distinct longitudinal veins, base of lamina twisted into an obscure petiole.

Flowers in reduced cymes in upper leaf axils. Outer tepals entire, inner tepals fringed. Filaments broad, fused basally.

Fruit a fleshy loculicidal capsule, 3-lobed; seeds numerous, aril prominent.
