Genus Lepidorrhachis Family Arecaceae

Description: Stout palms.

Leaves pinnate, with sheathing leaf bases forming a rather loose crownshaft.

Inflorescences panicle-like, much branched, borne below the crownshaft. Flowers sessile on notched rachillas, in groups of 3, with 2 male laterally and 1 female between them, the latter developing later.

Fruit globose.
