Genus Rhyncharrhena Family Apocynaceae

Description: Twiners.

Leaves distant, ± sessile.

Inflorescence axillary, umbellate. Sepals free. Corolla broad-campanulate or rotate. Corona double, the outer a 5-lobed disk at the base of the gynostegium, the inner of 5 laterally compressed sac-like segments, abruptly narrowed at the apex, fused to the anthers. Anthers with small terminal membranous appendages; pollinia ovoid, subpendent or horizontal.

Follicles slender; seeds comose.


Distribution and occurrence: World: 1 species, endemic Australia. Australia: 1 species, endemic.
