Brachyloma daphnoides subsp. pubescens J.T.Hunter APNI* Description: Erect shrub 40–150 cm high; stem indumentum hispid to villous.
Mature leaves 1.5–8 mm long, 1–4.5 mm wide, wide-elliptic to elliptic or ovate to orbicular; lamina surfaces concolorous; villous to scabrous, less so on upper surface.
Corolla white; style hairy in most northern populations.
Fruit depressed-globose, 2–3 mm long, c. 4 mm diam., ridged, green to yellow-brown.
Distribution and occurrence: A well defined distribution in the Pilliga region State Forests of the NW Slopes and some extensions into the CW Slopes and NW Plains (Pilliga, Yetman). Found mainly in dry sclerophyll forest, commonly in open situations on well-drained sites, often on slopes. Mainly on clayey sand.
