Description: Erect subshrub to 1 m high. Branches thickly woolly or floccose.

Leaves elliptic, acute, to 9 cm long, with thick wool below, sparsely woolly above. petiole slender, 1–2 cm long, woolly.

Heads on slender woolly peduncles to 10 cm long; involucre hemispherical, 4–5 cm diameter.


Distribution and occurrence: Endemic to Mount Warning. Near the summit on rocky volcanic substrate.
NSW subdivisions: NC
Other Australian states: Qld Vic.
