Dianella caerulea var. cinerascens R.J.F.Hend. APNI* 
Description: Plant tufted, solitary to gregarious, to 0.8 m high; true stems short,<10 cm long, touching or up to 30 cm apart.
Leaves strongly glaucous; leaf sheaths more than two-thirds occluded distally, ± biconvex in cross section in that region.
Inflorescence narrow-cylindrical in outline, interrupted. Cymules contracted, few-flowered. Perianth creamy-green to pale blue.
Distribution and occurrence: North from Putty into the upper Hunter Valley, west to Wollar and north to near Werris Creek. Grows in sclerophyll forest, on shallow sandy loams.
