Aotus lanigera A.Cunn. ex Benth. APNI*

Description: Densely branched shrub to 2 m high; stems densely tomentose and with long, soft, often dark, spreading hairs.

Leaves alternate, whorled or spirally arranged, lanceolate to narrow-elliptic, 10–25 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, apex acute, margins recurved or revolute, upper surface often glabrous, smooth, lower surface ± hairy; petiole 1–2 mm long.

Flowers 1-several in upper leaf axils; bracts 1–2 mm long; pedicels 2–3 mm long, villous. Calyx 5–6 mm long, villous; teeth acuminate. Corolla 8–15 mm long yellow.

Pod obovoid, 8–10 mm long, compressed, villous.
