Arthropodium minus R.Br. APNI*

Description: Perennial herb; tubers ellipsoidal, c. 2 cm long, sessile.

Leaves 1–14, usually 5–34 cm long, 0.5–5 mm wide, erect.

Scape simple to 4-branched, usually 5–55 cm long; sterile bracts occasionally to 38 cm long; flowers usually 1 per node; pedicels pendent to erect, 5–19 mm long, articulation absent; or 1–4 mm from flower; bracts herbaceous, 3–10 mm long. Tepals 3–6 mm long, white to purple; outer tepals 2–3.5 mm wide; inner tepals 2–5 mm wide, not fimbriate. Anthers 0.5–1 mm long, ± green; filaments 2–4 mm long, densely hairy towards anther, sometimes extended into 'tails' separating from filament below, ± concolorous with tepals. Style 0.8–2.5 mm long.
