Description: Prostrate perennial herb with glabrous to hairy stems.

Leaves elliptic to ovate, to c. 10 mm long, glabrous to sparsely hairy.

Flowers solitary. Sepals 5, acute, 3.5–4 mm long. Petals 5, obtuse, 4–5 mm long. Stamens 10. Ovary 4- or 5-locular; styles 4 or 5.

Capsule subglobose, subequal to the sepals; seeds numerous, cylindrical, with numerous small pits.


Distribution and occurrence: in inland sandy areas.
