Description: Shrub 1–3 m high, entire plant with soft, medium to dense tomentum, young growth and flower buds golden-tomentose.

Leaves oblong, 5–20 mm long, 2–5 mm wide, margins flat to recurved, upper surface dark green, lower surface paler, midrib prominent.

Flowers shortly pedunculate. Male flowers with 5 small tomentose bracts, 2 outer ones narrower than the 3 inner ones. Female flowers with 2 or 4 bracts; perianth segments united below the middle into a cup; styles bifid or trifid.

Capsule c. 8 mm long, hairy.


Flowering: spring to summer.

Distribution and occurrence: Found on rocky slopes, chiefly in the Warrumbungle Ra.
