Beyeria opaca F.Muell. APNI* 
Description: Viscid shrub to 1 m high, branchlets yellowish green at first, turning dark grey.
Leaves oblong to cuneate, 1–15 mm long, 2–3 mm wide, margins flat or slightly recurved, thickened, glabrous, paler below.
Flowers on peduncles 1–4 mm long; male flowers 1–3 together, female solitary. Male sepals yellow to brown, 2–3 mm long; female sepals greenish and shorter. Ovary glabrous, viscid.
Capsule ovoid, mostly 5–6 mm long, with a persistent stigma, peduncle 2–5 mm long; mostly 2-seeded, each seed 4–5 mm long, brown with reddish markings.
Flowering: spring to summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Found on calcareous red earths in level and dune mallee communities in western regions.
