Capparis sarmentosa A.Cunn. ex Benth. APNI* 
Description: Climbing or scrambling shrub to 2 m high.
Leaves 2-ranked, ovate to ± circular, 3–20 mm long, 3–10 mm wide, young leaves rusty-hairy, early glabrescent, midvein prominent, secondary veins 2–4 pairs, obscure to distinct; spines c. 2 mm long.
Flowers solitary or paired, pedicel 8–12 mm long. Sepals equal, outer pair free in bud, c. 7 mm long, glabrescent. Petals c. 8 mm long, yellow to white. Gynophore 15–20 mm long.
Fruit ± cylindrical, to 25 mm long, red, pericarp thin; stalk 2–4 cm long.
Distribution and occurrence: in drier rainforest, confined to a small area in NE N.S.W. and SE Qld.
