Description: Shrub 30–90 cm high.

Leaves narrowly ovate to ± linear, 3.5–8 cm long, 4–11 mm wide, margins scarcely recurved, both surfaces shortly hispid, upper surface wrinkled, lower surface not woolly and with primary and secondary veins prominent.

Flowers on pedicels 4–7 mm long, glandular and pubescent. Calyx 15–20 mm long, glandular and pubescent outside with a few hairs on inner parts of lobes towards apex; lobes narrow-ovate, with margins ± crenate and recurved. Corolla 35–50 mm long, greenish yellow, glabrous inside except for dense hairy ring above ovary; lower lobe of lower lip ± circular, 7–10 mm in diam. Style 35–45 mm long.

Fruit separating into 2 mericarps.


Flowering: Flowers mainly from spring to summer.

Distribution and occurrence: Occurs mainly in the Springwood to Kurragong area.

Grows in wet sclerophyll forest usually on sandy soils.
