Clematis fawcettii F.Muell. APNI* 
Description: Weak climber with stems 1–2 m long.
Leaves biternate to triternate, or if ternate then with the ultimate segments strongly lobed or toothed; leaflets ovate to lanceolate or elliptic; longest ultimate leaflet usually 5–25 mm long or rarely to 40 mm long.
Sepals white or becoming pinkish purple, usually strongly reflexed in male flowers. Anthers 0.7–1.5 mm long, lacking an apical appendage or with a minute button < 0.05 mm long. Mature achenes narrow-ovate in side view, ≤ 1 mm wide, not curved, 3-ridged.

Distribution and occurrence: Usually found near streams, in drier rainforest north of the Richmond R.; rare.
