Daviesia acicularis Sm. APNI* 
Description: Usually small, wiry shrub, to 1 m high, often hispid on vegetative parts.
Phyllodes subulate or linear to narrow-elliptic, 10–40 mm long, 0.5–4 mm wide, apex aristate, acute, base truncate, margins recurved to revolute, with scattered minute teeth; midrib prominent on upper surface; venation obscure.
Racemes reduced to 1 flower; flower stalk 1–2 mm long. Calyx 3.5–4.5 mm long including 0.6–1.0 mm receptacle; teeth subequal, acuminate.
Pod 6–9 mm long excluding beak, 3.5–7 mm wide.
Flowering: August(in north)–October(south).
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry sclerophyll forest on sandy soils, usually over sandstone, or in hummock grassland with Triodia in inland regions; widespread, east of a line from Eden to Enngonia.
