Description: Prostrate or ascending slender annual or biennial herb to 25 cm high, rooting at nodes, with short sparse appressed hairs.

Leaves narrow-lanceolate, 1.5–5 cm long, 2–7 mm wide, entire.

Heads campanulate; involucral bracts lanceolate, about as long as the ligules, thin, free to the base; peduncles 0.5–3 cm long. Ray florets c. 1 mm long, yellow, apex forked. Disc florets yellow.

Achenes compressed-cylindric, light brown, c. 3 mm long, smooth to densely tuberculate; pappus a minute rim.

Flowering: spring–autumn.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in damp areas usually near water, north from Deniliquin-Finley district.
