Eclipta prostrata (L.) L. APNI* 
Description: Erect or decumbent annual or perennial herb to 100 cm high, covered with short appressed hairs.
Leaves narrow-ovate to elliptic, size variable usually 3–10 cm long, 5–15 mm wide, entire to irregularly toothed, underside of leaf more densely hairy than upper side, ± sessile or with a small petiole.
Heads hemispherical, 3–4 mm wide; involucral bracts ovate to lanceolate, thin, free to the base; peduncle 1–6 cm long, dilated beneath the heads; receptacle nearly flat, scales filiform with expanded barbed tips, fragile but persistent. Ray florets white, ligules 1–2 mm long. Disc florets whitish, lobes sparsely pilose.
Achenes angled, strongly tuberculate, scattered hairs at apex; pappus absent or a minute ring of teeth.
Flowering: spring–autumn.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows on creek banks, in wet areas and disturbed sites.
