Description: Shrub or small tree to 5 m high, bark firm, furrowed, flaking; younger stems silky.
Leaves elliptic to linear, 10–25 mm long, 2–4 mm wide, flat, glabrescent; apex obtuse or tapering, point blunt; base tapering to a slender petiole.
Flowers solitary or occasionally 2 together, mostly 5–6 mm diam., white. Hypanthium c. 2 mm long, pedicel c. 1 mm long, usually glabrous. Sepals c. 0.7 mm long, glabrous. Petals c. 3 mm long. Stamens 1–1.5 mm long. Ovary mostly 5-locular.
Fruit may persist until next flowering, usually c. 3 mm diam.; pedicel 1 mm long, glabrous; valves rounded, exerted.
Flowering: October–January
Distribution and occurrence: Wombeyan Caves north to the Warrumbungle Mtns. Grows in dry sclerophyll forest and heath in rocky escarpments and gullies, coast and tablelands.
