Goodenia cycloptera R.Br. APNI*

Description: Ascending to decumbent perennial or annual herb to 30 cm, softly hairy.

Leaves basal or cauline, margins crenate to toothed or almost pinnatifid; basal leaves obovate to spathulate, mostly 4–10 cm long, 10–15 mm wide, often with a distinct petiole; cauline leaves smaller, with shorter petiole.

Flowers in leafy racemes; stalks 15–50 mm long, without bracteoles. Sepals linear-lanceolate, 2.5–3 mm long. Corolla 10–15 mm long, yellow, pubescent outside and in throat; with spur at least as long as ovary; wings 2–3 mm wide, equal. Indusium transverse-oblong, c. 1 mm long.

Fruit ± globose, 6–7 mm diam.; seeds circular, c. 6 mm diam., dark brown to black, reticulate; wing thick, brown, 1–1.2 mm wide.
