Description: Ascending to decumbent, herb to 50 cm high, cobwebby to pubescent when young.

Leaves mostly towards base, linear to narrow-elliptic, 2–6 cm long, 2–13 mm wide, narrowing basally, margins entire or toothed.

Flowers in leafy racemes on scapes to 40 cm; stalks mostly c. 30 mm long, bracteoles present. Sepals linear to ovate, 2–2.5 mm long. Corolla 10–13 mm long, yellow, bristly-pubescent outside, sparsely pubescent inside, without enations, auriculate; wings c. 1 mm wide. Indusium broad-oblong.

Fruit globose, c. 8 mm diam.; valves bifid to midmark; seeds elliptic-oblong, 2 mm long, pale yellow, spiny.


Flowering: October–June.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in sclerophyll forest and woodland; north from Brewarrina district, not common.
