Goodenia fascicularis F.Muell. & Tate APNI*

Description: Ascending perennial to 20 cm high with strigose and sometimes cottony hairs.Basal leaves linear to ovate in outline, 2–14 cm long, mostly 4–25 mm wide, margins toothed, lobed or entire.

Flowers in leafy racemes or sub-umbels; stalks 20–70 mm long, without bracteoles. Sepals lanceolate, 2.5–4 mm long. Corolla 12–23 mm long, deep yellow, strigose and sometimes cottony outside, hairy, without enations inside, auriculate; wings 1.2–2.5 mm wide. Indusium transverse-oblong, 1–1.5 mm long, with long bristles on lips.

Fruit subglobose, 5–8 mm diam.; seeds circular, c. 5 mm diam., reticulate; wing c. 1 mm wide.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in a variety of communities in the drier areas, west from Tamworth district.
