Hibbertia cistoidea (Hook.) C.T.White APNI* 
Description: Erect shrub to 100 cm high, generally < 60 cm, branches usually stellate-hairy, often glabrescent with age.
Leaves linear to narrow-oblanceolate, 4–15 mm long, 1–2.5 mm wide, apex cuneate to emarginate, base tapering, margins ± recurved, both surfaces stellate-tomentose.
Flowers terminal on short shoots, peduncles 0–8 mm long, but usually > 3 mm long. Sepals 4–6 mm long, obtuse, ± velvety, hairs stellate. Petals 5–6 mm long. Stamens 6–12, on 1 side of carpels; staminodes present and often ± surrounding carpels. Carpels 2, hairy with simple and stellate hairs.
Flowering: spring to autumn.
Distribution and occurrence: Not common, recorded from Bingara and Torrington areas in the north and from the Yerranderie to the Hunter Ra. in the south.

Other Australian states: Qld
The southern specimens (CC & CT) have shorter leaves and ± sessile flowers and may be a separate taxon.
