Description: Prostrate to decumbent shrub to 0.3 m high, with branches often wiry up to c. 0.3 m long. Stems with -/+ dense persistent hairs, usually much longer simple hairs overtopping short stellate and/or forked hairs.

Leaves linear 2.5 - 6.5 mm long, 1 - 1.5 mm wide, sparsely covered with short simple hairs, sometimes tubercle-based hairs; apex obtuse or acute, usually with a short terminal tuft of hairs; margins revolute with lower lamina -/+ obscured by central vein, sometimes with a row of small teeth visible between the central vein and the revolute margins, central vein flush or recessed with revolute margins.

Flowers single, terminal, usually shortly pedicellate 2 - 6 mm, sometimes sessile, with 1 - 3 bracts on the lower third of pedicel; sepals 5 – 6 mm long, unequal, pubescent, rarely glabrous; petals oblanceolate to obovate, 5 – 7 mm long, yellow, usually bilobed; stamens 4 – 6, in one cluster, sometimes with 1 or 2 stamens on other side of the ovary; filaments free to scarcely connate basally; carpels 2 (3), tomentose or pubescent.


Flowering: Flowers mostly September – November.
