Hibbertia hirta Toelken APNI*

Description: Shrubs to 50 cm high with ± rigid erect branches, villous with simple and stellate hairs.

Leaves narrow-oblanceolate or rarely narrow-elliptic, 7–14 mm long, 1–3 mm wide, obtuse to rounded, rarely acute when young, base tapering, margins revolute; both surfaces villous, with mainly long simple hairs over a few shorter erect stellate hairs, hairs on lower surface usually finer.

Flowers terminal, solitary;.peduncle 3–8 mm long. Calyx c. 6 mm long, outer surface villous to pubescent. Petals 4–6 mm long. Stamens 12, on one side of carpels. Carpels 2. Ovary stellate-villous.


Flowering: Flowers mainly October

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in sandstone or conglomerate cliffs on the Budawang Ra.
