Hovea graniticola I.Thomps. APNI*

Description: Shrub to 2.5 m high; indumentum of branchlets, calyces, etc. brown to grey, hairs curly with numerous moderately long (o.5–1 mm), spreading hairs protruding.

Leaves with lamina very narrow-oblong to linear, mostly 2.5–5 cm long, 2.5–6 mm wide, strongly arches on both sides of midrib, margins recurved to strongly revolyte, mucro to 1.5 mm long, upper surface glabrous, smooth, reticulate venation usually indistinct, lower surface densely clothes by orangish curled to coiled hairs and longer spreading hairs; petiole 2–3.5 mm long; stipules 2–5 mm long.

Inflorescences mostly sessile, occasionally indeterminate growth influencing flower insertion position, mostly 2-flowered, pedicels 2–3 mm long; stipules 2–5 mm long. Calyx 4.5–6 mm long. Pod indumentum sparse, glabescent.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry sclerophyll forest on granitic area, inland areas north from Tamworth district, with an old record from near Parkes.
