Description: Erect or spreading shrub to 1 m high; young stems appressed-hairy.

Leaves crowded, ± terete, 3–8 mm long, c. 0.5 mm wide, deeply grooved above, apex obtuse, at first pubescent, glabrescent with age; petiole c. 0.5 mm long.

Flowers yellow, sessile, in head-like clusters at end of branches. Hypanthium villous, free part extending 1–1.5 mm above the ovary. Sepals triangular, c. 1.5 mm long. Petals c. 2 mm long. Stamens 2–3 mm long. Ovary usually 3-locular, occasionally 2-locular; style 4.5–6 mm long.

Fruit 3.5–4 mm long, c. 3 mm diam., dehiscent.
