Lasiopetalum longistamineum Maiden & Betche APNI*

Description: Spreading shrub to 1.5 m high with densely rusty-tomentose branches.

Leaves usually 4–11 cm long, 12–25 mm wide, usually 3–4 times as long as wide, base rounded to cordate, apex acute; upper surface green and sparsely pubescent to glabrous with veins impressed, lower surface densely white-tomentose with veins raised and rusty coloured; petiole 10–15 mm long.

Flowers crowded in spike-like branches; bracteoles ± ovate, 3–4 mm long, densely tomentose. Calyx lobes divided almost to base, oblong, c. 3 mm long, inner surface glabrous, outer surface tomentose. Stamen filaments > 3 times as long as anthers; style and ovary tomentose.

Capsule 3–5 mm diam., tomentose.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in rich alluvial deposits in the Gungal - Mt Dangar area; rare.
