Description: Herb floating on surface of water; root solitary.

Thallus elliptic to rounded or broad-obovate, 1–4 mm long, green, opaque; veins 1–3 or not visible; base with stalk indistinct; apex rounded.

Colony made up of generations at angles less than 90° to the previous one.

Flowering: recorded May.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in still or slow-flowing freshwater, apparently widespread.
NSW subdivisions: CC, ST, NWS, CWS, SWS, NWP, SWP
Other Australian states: Tas. W.A. S.A.
