Description: Ephemeral or annual herb to 30 cm high, erect, covered with whitish vesicular hairs; mature plants often purplish.

Basal leaves linear-cuneate, toothed to 2-pinnatifid, to 10 cm long, petiolate and auriculate; the upper leaves remotely toothed. Inflorescence an elongating raceme. Sepals < 1 mm long. Petals absent. Stamens usually 4. Silicula obovate, 4–6 mm long, 3–5 mm wide, with scattered acicular hairs; wings in upper half obtuse, forming deep narrow notch; pedicel spreading, 2–3 mm long, papillose on upper surface.
