Description: Erect to spreading shrub to 1.3 m high; branchlets ± woolly.

Leaves linear-oblong, 5.7–8.5 mm long, 1.3–1.8 mm wide, margins recurved, minutely toothed to ciliate; lamina ± discolorous, scabrous to bristly, lower surface convex, lower surface slightly ribbed to grooved; petiole 0.3–0.4 mm long.

Flowers erect, 1 plus rudiment or 2 together in 4–7 mm long spikes, white; peduncles c. 1 mm long; bracteoles 1.2–1.8 mm long. Sepals 2.0–3.0 mm long. Corolla tube 1.4–2.1 mm long, glabrous except for reflexed lobe hairs; lobes 1.7–3.2 mm long.

Fruit ellipsoid, 2.8–3.2 mm long, ribbed, glabrous, brown.
