Melaleuca sieberi Schauer APNI* 
Description: Shrub or small tree to 5 m high with papery bark.
Leaves alternate, narrow-elliptic to lanceolate, 4–15 mm long, 1–4 mm wide, apex acute, glabrous; petiole c. 1 mm long.
Inflorescences few- to many-flowered spikes 1–4 cm long; rachis densely pubescent. Flowers usually solitary within each bract, white or petals sometimes tinged with pink. Petals ± circular, 2–3 mm long. Stamens 11–25 per bundle; claw 2–3 mm long.
Fruit barrel-shaped, 3–5 mm diam., orifice 2–3 mm diam.; sepals ± persistent.
Flowering: summer.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in wet heath in coastal districts, north from Gosford.
