Description: Slender shrub with numerous ± erect branches, to 2.5 m high.

Leaves obovate to oblong, 1–3 mm long, c. 1 mm wide, margins minutely ciliate or entire.

Flowers solitary on a peduncle 0.7–1.2 mm long, often forming terminal clusters on short branchlets; bracteoles < 1 mm long, semipersistent. Hypanthium narrow-obconical or turbinate, 2 mm long, with 6 ribs that branch below sepals. Sepals 0.5 mm long, membranous. Petals broad-elliptic, 1.5–2 mm long, white to pink, occasionally rose pink, finely toothed. Stamens 12, c. 1 mm long.

Fruit only slightly enlarged from flower.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in woodland on sandy loam soils; rare, in the Bourke district, chiefly between the Warrego and Darling Rivers.
