Minuria annua (Tate) Tate ex J.M.Black APNI*

Description: Annual herb to 12 cm high; stems and peduncles glabrous.

Leaves linear, to 3.3 cm long, c. 1 mm wide, margins entire, lamina glabrous; uppermost leaves overtopping flower heads.

Ray florets white, ligule c. 2 mm long; achene pubescent; pappus of many uniformly barbellate bristles 2–3 mm long. Disc florets with corolla tube 2–2.8 mm long, glabrous; pappus of many short barbellate bristles c. 1 mm long, free or united into fimbriate scales, and 3–5 longer bristles 2.6–2.8 mm long with barbs longer and denser apically.
