Description: Shrub to 2 m high.

Leaves alternate, scattered; lamina elliptic or ovate, 10–60 mm long, 3–21 mm wide; apex acute, finely mucronate; margins entire, flat; surfaces discolorous, both grey-felted; venation pinnate; sessile or subsessile.

Heads terminal, in panicles, pedunculate, 12–19 mm diam.; peduncle to 31 mm long. Ray florets 8–15, white. Disc florets 7–16, yellow.

Achenes silky; pappus with 35–43 long bristles in 2 series and an outer row of short bristles.
