Description: Shrub to 1.6 m high.

Leaves alternate, scattered; lamina elliptic or ovate, 15–48 mm long, 5–15 mm wide; apex acute or rounded, finely mucronate; margins entire, flat; surfaces discolorous, upper surface grey-pubescent and dark green, lower surface pubescent and pale green or yellowish brown-pubescent; venation pinnate; petiole to 10 mm long.

Heads terminal, solitary, 27–39 mm diam.; peduncle to 65 mm long. Ray florets 20–22, white. Disc florets 17–49, yellow.

Achenes glabrous; pappus with 31–39 bristles in 2 series, with an outer row of short bristles.
