Description: Shrub.

Leaves alternate, scattered; lamina broad-elliptic, 28–65 mm long, 16–40 mm wide; apex rounded or obtuse or acute, with or without a mucro; margins sinuate-toothed or entire, flat or slightly undulate; surfaces discolorous, upper surface glabrous, lower surface minutely silver-tomentose; venation reticulate; petiole to 16 mm long.

Heads terminal, in simple dense corymbs, sessile, 9–18 mm diam. Ray florets 1–2, ?white. Disc florets 3–5, ?yellow.

Achenes not observed. Presumed extinct, last collected in 1866 in the Blue Mtns.


Distribution and occurrence: Last confirmed collection was in 1866 in the Blue Mtns. A sterile1999 collection from the Northern Tablelands, is only doubtfully attributed to this species.
