Description: Erect annual to 40 cm high.

Leaves with scattered stiff hairs, to 15 cm long, 2-pinnatisect, the segments 2–4 mm wide, petiolate.

Petals c. 12 mm long, red, readily shed.

Capsule c. 15 mm long, 6–8 mm diam.
