Petermannia cirrosa F.Muell. APNI*

Description: Vine with wiry stems to 6 m long; tendrils leaf-opposed, mostly 5–15 cm long.

Leaves with lamina lanceolate to ± ovate or elliptic, 3.5–10 cm long, 1–4 cm wide, apex acute, base ± acute; lamina ± concolorous, glabrous and shiny, with finer venation obscure between the 3–7 longitudinal veins, midvein more prominent; petiole 3–5 mm long, thick.

Branched cymes 5–10 cm long on a peduncle to 10 cm long, few-flowered. Tepals 5–7 mm long, reddish green or white, reflexed.

Berry ± globose, 10–15 mm diam., red, glabrous; seeds angular.

Flowering: chiefly summer.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows mainly in cooler rainforest; not common, north from the Hastings R.
