Description: Perennial herb or subshrub 15–50 cm high, woody at base; stems ± erect, ± terete, narrowly winged from decurrent leaf bases, ± glabrous.

Leaves narrow-lanceolate, 1–3 cm long, 2–4 mm wide, apex acute, base decurrent on stem, margins toothed, lamina ± glabrous.

Heads 2–5, shortly pedunculate in corymbose groups on leafy stems; heads hemispherical, 4–6 mm diam.; involucral bracts c. 4-seriate, 2–4 mm long, outer ones glandular, inner ones non-glandular and with acuminate apices. Female florets numerous; corolla, pink; 2- or 3-toothed; achene c. 0.8 mm long, brown, glabrous. Disc florets 8–14, shorter than the female florets; corolla 5-toothed, pink, style entire; achenes sterile.

Distribution and occurrence: Grows in woodland, scrub and along dry watercourses; restricted to the far northwest portion of the State.
