Description: Perennial with erect and ascending stems from deep branching rootstock, silky.

Leaves with lamina linear to linear-lanceolate or narrow-elliptic, 2–7 cm long, mostly 2–10 mm wide, apex acute to narrowly obtuse and finely mucronate, base abruptly rounded to auriculate or truncate, glabrous to silky; petiole usually < 4 mm long.

Inflorescence 1-flowered. Sepals ± equal, outer narrow-ovate to oblong-elliptic, 5–9 mm long, 2–3.5 mm wide. Corolla funnel-shaped, 1–1.5 mm long, pink.

Capsule globose, 6–8 mm diam.; seeds pubescent.
