Prostanthera cineolifera R.T.Baker & H.G.Sm. APNI*

Description: Erect shrub, 1–4 m high, strongly aromatic; branches moderately to densely covered with short, curled hairs and ± sessile glands.

Leaves with lamina ± narrow-ovate, 12–50 mm long, 4–12 mm wide; apex obtuse; base cuneate to obtuse; margins entire; surfaces light green, mostly glabrous, sparsely to densely hairy on midrib on lower surface, densely glandular with ± sessile glands; petiole 2–7 mm long.

Flowers in a terminal botryoid; bracteoles not persistent, 1–2 mm long. Calyx 3–4 mm long; tube 2–2.5 mm long; upper lobe 1–2 mm long, not enlarged in fruit. Corolla 8–11 mm long, pale mauve to dark purple-mauve, darker in throat. Anthers with appendage c. 1 mm long.


Flowering: September–October

Distribution and occurrence: Apparently grows in sclerophyll forest. The distribution of this taxon is uncertain.
