Scape to 30 cm tall, with 2–7 bracts bearing 1–7 flowers. Galea curved for all its length, 23–25 mm long including the upturned filiform point which is 8–10 mm long. Dorsal sepal green with translucent spaces; petals terminating where the dorsal sepal begins to turn upward, 12–13 mm long by 5 mm wide when dissected and pressed, with translucent light brown shading and one or two striations. Lateral sepals 16–18 mm long by 5 mm wide when pressed, united for around one quarter their length then gradually contracted into filiform caudae, finely filiform for half their length, light brown to greenish brown in the centre. Labellum on an irritable claw, margins slightly upturned forming a wide shallow channel, deep red-brown, broad lanceolate, 6.0 mm long by 2.5 mm wide, set almost 1 mm above the appendage and darkest at the base of the lamina (sometimes making it appear as if there is a hole at this point). Midrib inconspicuous and forming a slight ridge in the anteriorthird. Setae marginal, 12–16, longest pair at the base, appendage reduced to a basal swelling, flat, bluntly obtuse with about 10 erect setae.
