Description: Erect shrub; stems spreading-pubescent.
Leaves alternate, linear, terete with a groove on the upper surface, 10–15 mm long, 0.5 mm wide, apex aristate, surface tuberculate; stipules c. 6 mm long.
Inflorescences terminal, dense; bracts not conspicuously imbricate, persistent, c. 7 mm long, 2-lobed, narrow-ovate, acuminate, ± woolly. Flowers c. 10 mm long, sessile; bracteoles c. 6 mm long, lacking stipules, oblong to narrow-elliptic, curved, subulate to acuminate, keeled, glabrous or with some woolly hairs, attached at base of calyx tube. Calyx c. 7 mm long, woolly-hairy; lobes subulate to acuminate. Ovary hairy.
Pod c. 7 mm long, flattened.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in swamp heath on sandstone, confined to the Budawang Ra.
