Description: Erect shrub; stems spreading-pubescent.
Leaves oblong, 6–10 mm long, 0.5–2 mm wide, apex obtuse and slightly recurved, margins incurved to involute, concolorous or upper surface darker than lower; stipules 2–3 mm long.
Inflorescences subterminal or apparently terminal, one- to few-flowered; bracts not conspicuously imbricate, persistent, 1–2.5 mm long, entire or often 2-lobed, almost circular, glabrous to sparsely hairy. Flowers 5–8 mm long; pedicels 1–2 mm long; bracteoles 2.5–4 mm long, lacking stipules, oblong to ovate, bristly, glabrous to glabrescent, somewhat viscid, attached at base of calyx tube. Calyx moderately to densely hairy; lobes acuminate to acute. Ovary hairy.
Pod 4–5 mm long, turgid.
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in heath to dry sclerophyll forest, usually on sandstone; south from the Hawkesbury R.
