Sarcochilus hillii (F.Muell.) F.Muell. APNI* 
Description: Semi-pendent epiphyte or rarely an epilith, with 1 or rarely several shoots; stems 0.3–1.7 cm long.
Leaves linear, 3–12 cm long, 1.5–3 mm wide, channelled, spotted.
Inflorescence 3–10 cm long, 2–10-flowered, spreading to pendent; rachis about equal in length to peduncle; pedicel plus ovary 3–6 mm long. Dorsiventral dimension of flower about equal to lateral dimension. Sepals and lateral petals white to pale pink. Labellum 3–4 mm long, with hairs on the midlobe. Column c. 2 mm long, slightly longer than column foot, set almost at right angles to it.
Flowering: October–December
Distribution and occurrence: Usually grows in gallery rainforest on a variety of hosts but most often on Backhousia myrtifolia or rarely on rocks, from sea level to 900 m alt.; north from the Bega district.
