Scaevola parvibarbata Carolin APNI* 
Description: Erect herb woody at base to 50 cm high, with curled or spreading simple hairs.
Leaves oblanceolate to circular, 8–40 mm long, 4–20 mm wide, margins usually toothed, surface usually visible beneath hairs; sessile.
Flowers in spikes to 25 cm long; bracts leaf-like but smaller; bracteoles linear, to 5 mm long. Sepals fused, rim to 1 mm long. Corolla 11–25 mm long, lilac or greenish, with curled or spreading hairs outside, densely bearded inside with all hairs simple; wings to 1 mm wide. Anthers glabrous. Indusium 1–2.5 mm wide, with short white bristles at base scarcely reaching lips.
Fruit obovoid, 3–5 mm long, hairy, wrinkled.
Flowering: chiefly May–October
Distribution and occurrence: Grows in dry open communities mostly on sandy soils; north from Bourke area.
