Description: Erect shrub, 30–100 cm high with wiry stems, glabrous.

Leaves ovate, 4–12 mm long, 1.5–3.2 mm wide, mucro 0.3–0.4 mm long; margins minutely toothed.

Flowers solitary, white; bracts ovate, 7–8 mm long, acuminate with a short mucro, glabrous, with hyaline margins. Sepals broad-ovate, 6–10 mm long, subobtuse, glabrous, with broad hyaline margins towards base. Corolla tube usually 2–3 mm, rarely to 6 mm long; lobes erect to spreading, c. 6 mm long, ± obtuse. Anthers 3.5–4 mm long, converging, glabrous.

Fruit c. 2.5 mm diam.

Vegetation Swampy heath e.g. with Banksia robur, Xyris.

Substrate Sandy soil in swamps, poorly-drained, low nutrient.
