Description: Subshrub to 30 cm high, stems greyish, densely pubescent.

Leaves 3–9 cm long; leaflets 5–13, oblanceolate to obovate, 8–20 mm long, 3–8 mm wide, upper surface densely pubescent or sometimes ± glabrescent, lower surface silky; petiole 15–35 mm long; stipules subulate.

Racemes few-flowered, flowers in leaf-opposed or axillary clusters, lengthening up to 14 cm in fruit. Calyx 3–7 mm long, with spreading hairs; teeth subulate, 1.5–4 mm long. Corolla 5–7 mm long, orange, with a greenish patch at base of standard.

Pods linear to oblong, compressed, 25–40 mm long, 3.5–4.5 mm wide, velvety, brown.


Distribution and occurrence: Grows in sparse shrubland on rocky outcrops; not common in this State, recorded near Milparinka.
